A patient is undergoing testing for a suspected case of the Ebola virus at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. The individual was admitted to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.
Tests are currently being carried out to confirm whether the patient has contracted the disease. If the case is confirmed, it would mark the first instance of Ebola in the United Kingdom since a recent outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo was declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization.
