Two passengers were filmed running across the tarmac at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport in a desperate effort to catch their Aeroflot flight. The incident occurred in July when the individuals arrived too late to board the plane as it prepared for departure.

Footage of the event shows the two women hurrying towards the aircraft while dragging their luggage and waving frantically at the cockpit. An airport staff member was observed using a radio to alert colleagues to the situation. Despite their efforts, the women were unable to halt the plane and were eventually escorted away by airport personnel.

The video of the scene circulated widely on social media, with many users commenting on the passengers' actions. The women could reportedly face fines under Russian law for the incident, with potential penalties ranging up to approximately £45 for a domestic violation and up to £260 for an international one.

This event follows a similar incident in May, also in Russia, where a passenger reportedly ran onto the tarmac in an attempt to stop a departing flight after becoming stuck in an airport bathroom. That passenger was also unsuccessful in boarding the plane and was subsequently issued a fine.
