Officials in Monaco are seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect in connection with a package bomb that injured three people on Monday evening. The explosion occurred around 9 p.m. local time in the lobby of an apartment building and was powerful enough to be felt in Nice, France, located 13 miles away.

According to Stéphane Thibault, Monaco's prosecutor, the individuals seriously injured in the blast were an unidentified Ukrainian businessman, his partner, and their teenage son. Investigators stated that the incident does not appear to be related to terrorism. Surveillance footage shows the suspect arriving at the building, leaving the package, and departing shortly before the victims entered the main door.

The device detonated as the victims encountered it, Thibault explained. Monaco's law enforcement is collaborating with their French counterparts, and authorities expressed optimism about apprehending the suspect swiftly.

Christophe Mirmand, Monaco's Minister of State, announced that security measures have been heightened throughout the principality. "I am calling on everyone to help identify the person believed to be responsible for these acts," Mirmand told Monaco INFO.
