A motorcyclist has died following a crash on the Isle of Lewis. The collision occurred on the A857 near New Park, Newmarket, around 4:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Emergency services responded to the scene, where a silver MG car and a black BMW S1000 RS motorcycle were involved. The 56-year-old male rider of the motorcycle was transported to Western Isles Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other individuals sustained injuries.
Police Scotland reported that the 44-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with the incident. Investigations into the collision are ongoing.
