A passenger told a jury he tried to stop a man who allegedly attacked commuters on a train, describing the struggle as chaotic. Stephen Crean testified that he confronted the attacker after hearing screams and seeing people attacked on a London-bound train.

Crean said he grappled with the alleged assailant. "It was like Come Dancing, we were all over the place," he told the jury at the Old Bailey, referring to a popular BBC ballroom dancing competition. He added that he was trying to "get control of him" and "make sure he didn't get hold of anyone else."

The court heard that the alleged attacker boarded a train in Essex and began assaulting passengers. Crean said he was sitting with his wife when he heard shouting and saw a man being attacked. He then intervened in the incident.
