Former Love Island contestant Jack Fincham has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving following a car crash. Fincham, 35, was reportedly taken into custody after his Audi TT mounted a brick wall and damaged two trees, according to reports.
Witnesses described the scene, with one woman stating, "A car had taken out one wall and was balanced on the next wall." Fincham was later apprehended near the scene in Sidcup, south-east London. He is believed to have been at a nearby pub after attending an addiction support meeting.
This incident occurs less than a year after Fincham underwent a £32,000 treatment program at a rehabilitation center in Merseyside. He previously received an 18-month suspended sentence in 2024 for driving under the influence of cocaine, speeding, and using false number plates. In March 2025, his suspended sentence was extended by three months due to dangerous dog offenses after his dog attacked a runner.
Fincham had been banned from driving as part of his previous sentence. He admitted to using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving with a specified controlled drug above the limit, driving without due care and attention, and fraudulently using a registration plate. He was handed a 12-week suspended sentence, reduced from 16 weeks for an early admission.
Following his arrest, a source close to Fincham confirmed to The Sun that he was interviewed at a police station on October 26. The source stated that Fincham has been "sober and drug free" since the alleged crash on September 20, has expressed remorse, and is focusing on his sobriety.
Fincham rose to fame on Love Island in 2018 and has since pursued a career in professional boxing. He has participated in several bouts, including an exhibition match in Dubai in 2022 and fights against Ahmed Mousa and Aaron Chalmers in subsequent years.
Fincham has openly discussed his struggles with addiction, including detoxing from prescription drugs like benzodiazepines and pregabalin. He has spoken about the challenges of processing emotions after long-term substance use and expressed a desire to improve himself and achieve his goals in acting and television work.
Representatives for Jack Fincham and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment. Fincham was seen publicly for the first time on Wednesday since the reports of his arrest, following a boxing training session at a gym.
