A wild late-night brawl involving up to a dozen men and women has been captured on video in Melbourne's central business district. The chaotic scenes unfolded outside a popular bar on Bond Street after a night out on the weekend.
Revellers were seen throwing punches and kicking each other in separate altercations near a carpark entrance before the brawl spilled onto the street. Two men were observed trading blows on the footpath before a third individual intervened, striking one of the men and causing him to fall to the ground.
Several women were also involved in the fracas. Two women, dressed in dresses and high heels, were seen pulling each other's hair in the middle of the street, causing traffic disruptions. One woman lost her shoes during the altercation as a man attempted to separate the pair.
It is understood that the brawl concluded without police intervention, and it remains unknown if the incident was reported to authorities. A spokeswoman indicated that authorities encourage anyone who has been the victim of an assault to contact the police. Information regarding the incident can be provided to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
