King Charles III and Queen Camilla are scheduled to visit the Caribbean in the autumn, Buckingham Palace announced. The eight-day tour, planned from October 27 to November 4, will focus on celebrating the diverse communities, cultures, and natural environments within the Commonwealth.

The royal couple will travel to Antigua and Barbuda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Following this, King Charles will continue to the Bahamas and Guyana. This trip marks King Charles's first visit to the Caribbean since 2021, when he attended Barbados's transition to a republic. During that visit, he acknowledged the "appalling atrocity of slavery" experienced by the island.

The King has prior experience visiting these nations. He visited Antigua and Barbuda in 2017 after the region was impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. His previous visits to Guyana and the Bahamas were in 2000 and 1973, respectively. Earlier this year, in May, King Charles traveled to Bermuda, a British overseas territory where he also serves as head of state, following a state visit to the United States.
