Hana Kuraki, a popular Japanese porn star, has died at the age of 25, according to reports. Her body was discovered on Saturday in an apartment in Tokyo's Kabukicho neighborhood, a well-known red-light district. A friend reportedly found Kuraki at an apartment belonging to a bar owner named Sakito, who later confirmed her passing on social media.
Sakito stated that Kuraki's friend discovered her and subsequently contacted him, after which he went to the apartment to assist with the situation and speak with Tokyo police. He also mentioned that Kuraki had discussed relationship issues with him but urged the public to refrain from spreading rumors and speculation about her death.
"I hope that no further harm comes to the deceased or those around her through misinformation or speculation," Sakito wrote on social media. "I also hope for a world free of people who use violence to control others or drive them to such desperate straits."
Kuraki entered the adult film industry in 2024 and had been scheduled to participate in an adult industry expo in Taiwan later this year. In June, she announced a hiatus from her career due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident that affected her face and jaw. "I’ve decided to take a break for a while, so I’ll be suspending activities for a certain period. (I do want to keep up with filming if I can)," she posted on X at the time.
