Police have arrested a fourth teenager in connection with a stabbing that occurred at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, on Saturday, October 31. The incident left five boys, aged 16 and 17, with serious injuries.

A 16-year-old boy from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, according to police who confirmed the arrest on Wednesday. He joins three other teenagers previously taken into custody. Two boys, aged 16 and 17 from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody after police were granted an extension for further questioning. A 16-year-old boy from Bristol was also arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

The attack took place around 10:30 p.m. at a property on Park Road. Reports indicate that approximately 70 uninvited guests arrived at the party after details were shared online, escalating a confrontation that had begun earlier. Some attendees reportedly scaled a fence to gain access to the party.

Four of the five victims have since been discharged from the hospital. The fifth victim, a 17-year-old, remains in the hospital in a life-threatening condition. Searches of three addresses linked to those arrested in Southampton and Bristol have been conducted, and several items were seized.

The party was reportedly supervised by a 17-year-old girl who lived at the property. However, the large number of attendees, which is believed to have reached around 100 people, overwhelmed the hosts. The stab victims are believed to be friends who had attended Thornden School in Chandler's Ford.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary stated that its investigation is ongoing, and officers are reviewing footage and witness statements to piece together the events of the evening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
