A 50-year-old father and his two sons were rescued off the coast of Koh Samui, Thailand, after spending more than 16 hours floating at sea. The family was found adrift on Saturday, according to a local official.
The jet ski the trio was using capsized, leading to their prolonged ordeal in the water. Local government official Amorn Chomchoey told AFP that rescuers found the individuals exhausted and having swallowed a significant amount of seawater. He described them as appearing pale, particularly the two boys.
Following their rescue, the family received medical attention at a local hospital. They were subsequently discharged after being checked, Chomchoey confirmed to AFP.
