The family of a 25-year-old bus driver has paid tribute to Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, who was fatally shot outside a London pub in what authorities are investigating as a case of mistaken identity.

Bile-aka was reportedly dropping his girlfriend off at The Landor pub on Willington Road when the shooting occurred on Monday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedics arriving within three minutes. His family described him as an "amazing young man full of love, kindness, and an enthusiasm for life."

"Bile-aka touched so many hearts, and the pain of losing him is impossible to put into words," his family said in a statement. "It is difficult to imagine a world without his smile, his presence, and the joy he brought to those around him. Family, friends, and colleagues are heartbroken, and all we want now is justice for him."

Friends and colleagues have also shared tributes online, remembering Bile-aka as "the sweetest" and a "clean-hearted person with the kindest soul." One colleague described him as "humble and hardworking" and a person who will be greatly missed at work.

A 22-year-old man later attended a hospital with a gunshot wound and was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains the only arrest in connection with the case as of Monday, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver, leading the investigation, has renewed an appeal for information. "We are extending our appeal to members of the public, and anyone in the area around the time of the shooting to please come forward," Guiver stated. "Any piece of information you have could prove vital in our investigation. If you witnessed anything suspicious, or have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could assist our investigation, we urge you to get in touch."

One friend described Bile-aka as a "cool guy" and a hard-working bus driver, expressing shock at his death. Another friend, who asked to remain anonymous, described the victim as a "great guy" and expressed sympathy for his grieving mother.

A woman at the scene claimed the shooting was a result of mistaken identity. Another nearby resident reported hearing four gunshots, initially mistaking them for a car backfiring, and later assisted the victim before emergency services arrived.
