A 28-year-old man was driving a white sedan along King Georges Road near Beverly Hills and Wiley Park in Sydney's west around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday when he stopped his vehicle for a man he did not know. Police allege that when the driver exited his car, the stranger slashed him across the face and then fled the scene. The injured man then drove approximately 1 kilometer to The Street Kid Cafe in Punchbowl. Witnesses at the cafe contacted emergency services after finding the driver with severe cuts to his face. Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was transported to a hospital in a serious but stable condition. Police have initiated a search for the alleged attacker and are appealing for any information or dashcam footage that could assist their investigation.
