A dispute over queue jumping at a popular Chinese tourist destination escalated into a violent physical altercation, leaving a couple bloodied. The incident took place at the Five-Coloured Pond viewing platform in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, Sichuan province, on November 2.

Video footage captured the heated exchange, showing a man in a blue jacket repeatedly striking another man in a purple top amid a crowd of onlookers. Subsequent clips revealed the younger couple with bloodied faces as bystanders offered assistance.

The confrontation reportedly began when a 62-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman allegedly attempted to bypass the line for photographs. The younger couple challenged this behavior, leading to an argument that quickly devolved into violence.

All three individuals involved sustained injuries, though they were later reported to be out of danger after receiving medical treatment. The parties were taken to a police station for an investigation, and subsequently participated in mediation.

Following discussions, both parties acknowledged their mistakes, apologized to each other, and reached an agreement. Authorities issued a statement urging visitors to maintain calmness, communicate respectfully, and prevent disagreements from escalating into physical confrontations.
