Céline Dion is reported to have filmed a "top secret" Christmas advertisement for British makeup brand Charlotte Tilbury, a move that would mark a high-profile return to the spotlight while the singer continues to manage a long-term neurological condition.

The Sun and MailOnline on Sunday quoted a source close to the campaign saying the 57-year-old Canadian singer agreed to the collaboration with the brand’s founder, Charlotte Tilbury, and that she was "delighted" to take part. The source described the outing as a "huge coup for the brand" and said no expense was spared in creating a festive scene.

Representatives for Dion and for Charlotte Tilbury had not publicly confirmed the campaign at the time of publication. MailOnline reported it had contacted Dion’s team for comment.

Dion disclosed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disorder characterised by muscle stiffness and painful spasms that can worsen over time. In an Instagram video announcing the diagnosis she said the spasms had affected "every aspect" of her daily life and could interfere with walking and using her vocal cords. "I'm working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again," she said then.

Since that disclosure, Dion has limited her public schedule but has made notable appearances. She performed at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics and presented the Album of the Year award at the 2024 Grammy Awards. In media interviews in the months after her diagnosis she has discussed rehabilitation and managing the condition, saying she remained determined to return to performing.

Stiff-person syndrome is considered rare; medical centres such as Johns Hopkins note the condition causes fluctuating stiffness and spasms that may impair movement and lead to disability over time. Treatment typically focuses on symptom control, physical therapy and, in some cases, immunotherapy.

The reported advertising appearance would be one of Dion’s most prominent commercial outings since her diagnosis. Charlotte Tilbury, a British makeup entrepreneur, has previously employed celebrity partnerships and luxury-focused seasonal campaigns to promote the brand globally.

People familiar with Dion’s recent work say she has been working with therapists to rebuild strength for both mobility and her voice, and that she has expressed a desire to perform when she feels ready. In past interviews and public statements Dion has stressed her emotional connection to singing and her commitment to rehabilitation.

Neither Dion nor Charlotte Tilbury released an official statement confirming the details of the advertisement or the timing of any broadcast. If the reports are accurate, the campaign would likely debut during the 2025 holiday season, a major period for retail and beauty marketing.
