Police in Budapest, Hungary, have released disturbing images from the residence of a 30-year-old man accused of cannibalism. The photos reveal a lair adorned with human bones, including a trophy cabinet that housed a skull and a reconstructed face crafted from human skin. The suspect, employed as an orderly at a hospital, admitted to an attraction to body parts and to consuming some of them.

During a search of the man's home, investigators discovered multiple skulls, a complete lower leg, and a human hand. Bones were also found stored in a suitcase. A heart preserved in a jar was seized as well, with authorities working to determine if it is of human or animal origin. The suspect reportedly obtained these body parts from his workplace and also confessed to exhuming remains from abandoned cemeteries in Hungary and Slovakia. Police confiscated the man's electronic devices, including his computer, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and SIM cards.

Authorities arrested the man last week following an anonymous tip. He is currently under judicial supervision, and the public prosecutor's office is investigating him for disturbing the peace of the dead. Officials noted the man's reported passion for anatomy and pathology, including a practice of dissecting animals. All recovered body parts will undergo forensic examination, and investigators stated that the scope of the alleged crimes could broaden once the origin of all remains is established.
