Brazilian influencer Lis Santos Bayir, born Elisangela Aparecida dos Santos, is recovering in Bali after a serious motorbike accident on August 1. She was initially rushed to BIMC Kuta Hospital and transferred to the intensive care unit.
Her family issued an urgent appeal for B+ blood donations to aid her recovery. According to local media, Bayir remained in the ICU and was in stable condition. The family stated, “We urgently need donations of type B+ blood. Anyone who can donate or share this request will make a huge difference to her recovery. She continues under intensive care in the ICU, closely monitored by a dedicated and attentive medical team.”
Later, the family announced that their blood donation goal had been met and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers. In an Instagram Stories post on Monday, they shared, “The best news we can share is that Lis is out of the ICU and continues to recover all in her own time. The doctors themselves are calling her a miracle.”
Details surrounding the accident have not been disclosed. However, Bayir's family addressed public speculation, condemning what they described as sensationalist and dishonest labeling of the incident as an “act of irresponsibility.” They stated, “No one was there at the moment of the crash to judge what actually happened.” The family added that they are “already suffering enough, and we will not tolerate this kind of opportunism” and threatened legal action against any profiles spreading lies.
Bayir's husband, Ahmet Bayir, shared a video of himself holding her hands, expressing hope for her recovery and strength. Bayir, who has over 18,000 Instagram followers, often shares content about her travels and well-being. She is also a personal trainer who recently overcame breast cancer, documenting her journey and advocating for mental health. She previously posted, “Not every transformation begins by choice. Some begin when life takes away everything you believed you were. I lost my hair. I lost my body. I lost my sense of control. But it was precisely there that I found a strength I didn’t even know existed.”
Supporters have offered messages of strength and well wishes on her social media, calling her a “warrior” and an “inspiration.”
