An 11-year-old boy, reported missing on Monday, has been found deceased near the Broken River in Shepparton, northern Victoria.
Victoria Police received reports around 5 p.m. on Monday that the boy had entered the river and had not resurfaced. A search operation involving Victoria Police Search and Rescue, Water Police, the State Emergency Service (SES), and uniform officers was immediately launched.
The boy was located deceased on Tuesday morning. Police stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
