Northern Territory police in Australia have released bodycam footage of the final interview with Bradley Murdoch, the convicted killer of British backpacker Peter Falconio. Murdoch died in jail last year from throat cancer without revealing the location of Falconio's remains.

Falconio, from Huddersfield, was murdered on a remote highway near Barrow Creek, about 186 miles north of Alice Springs, in July 2001. The release of the footage by police comes ahead of the 25th anniversary of his disappearance, with the force stating its continued commitment to resolving the investigation.

In the released video, a police officer is heard urging Murdoch to consider if Falconio were his own son and someone knew where his body was. Murdoch, wearing a green prison jumper, repeatedly denied any knowledge of Falconio's whereabouts, stating, "I know nothing. I've said this for 22 years. I know nothing. You keep asking these questions. I know nothing."

Murdoch, 67, was convicted in 2001 for the murder of Falconio. The incident occurred while Falconio and his girlfriend, Joanne Lees, were travelling through the Australian outback. Lees was the sole witness to the attack and managed to escape. A young man pictured from the rear of a vehicle.

Despite the conviction and Murdoch's death, the location of Peter Falconio's remains remains unknown, a point of ongoing distress for his family. Northern Territory police have indicated that efforts to locate the body will continue.
