A young bald eagle, known online as Luna, has successfully taken its first flight from its nest in California's Big Bear Valley. The juvenile bird's maiden flight was observed by thousands of viewers via a livestream provided by Friends of Big Bear Valley. The popular online broadcast captured the moment the eagle spread its wings and glided to a nearby tree. A group of bird watchers also gathered in the valley, located east of Los Angeles, to witness the event in person.
