Yolanda Marodi pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder for fatally stabbing her wife, Cal Fire Captain Rebecca "Becky" Marodi, in their Ramona home.

The San Diego County resident appeared in San Diego Superior Court in El Cajon and admitted to the killing, which occurred on Rancho Villa Road in February 2025. Marodi faces a sentence of 36 years to life in prison.

This conviction marks a repeat offense for Yolanda Marodi, who had previously served nearly 10 years in prison after being convicted of killing her ex-husband in 2000. ![Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca "Becky" Marodi and Yolonda Marodi.]( "Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca "Becky" Marodi and Yolonda Marodi.")
