Future NFL Hall of Famer Von Miller has teased a potential return to the Buffalo Bills, nearly 18 months after his release from the team. Miller, 37, who holds the record for the most career sacks among active NFL players with 138.5, posted a series of cryptic messages on his Instagram story on Friday.

In one post, Miller shared a photo of himself alongside Bills quarterback Josh Allen, a signal that he might be considering a move back to Buffalo. He followed this with a separate image of himself wearing a Bills hat and jersey, captioned "Unfinished business." The linebacker is currently out of contract after spending the previous season with the Washington Commanders.

Miller's previous three-year tenure with the Bills was marked by both success and controversy. He recorded eight sacks in 12 games during the 2022 season. However, his performance declined in the following year, with only three total tackles and no sacks in 12 appearances. In 2024, he was suspended for four games for violating the league's personal conduct policy, a year after an arrest warrant was issued in connection with allegations of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

After his release from Buffalo in March 2025, Miller signed a three-year, $120 million contract with the Commanders. He played in all 17 games for Washington in the last season, recording nine sacks. The Commanders finished with a 5-12 record and missed the postseason.

If Miller were to return to the Bills, it would mark his 15th year in the NFL. With Josh Allen as quarterback, the Bills are expected to be contenders for the Super Bowl in the 2026 season. New head coach Joe Brady, who replaced Sean McDermott in January, would likely utilize Miller in a depth role should he rejoin the team.
