The Trump administration has announced a reward of up to $20 million for information pertaining to Iran's nuclear program. The State Department's Rewards for Justice Program is soliciting details concerning Iranian nuclear scientists and staff, nuclear program-related technologies and capabilities, and associated organizations and individuals, according to an announcement posted on X.
The program is actively encouraging the public to submit any relevant intelligence. Information can be provided through an encrypted Tor browser tip line, or via secure Signal and Telegram messaging applications. As an additional incentive, "possible relocation" is being offered to individuals who provide actionable intelligence. The Rewards for Justice website highlights that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported in 2025 that Iran was enriching uranium to 60% purity, a level nearing that required for a nuclear weapon. The program statement also noted the IAEA's loss of "continuity of knowledge" regarding Iran's nuclear production due to the regime's non-compliance with safeguards obligations.
The US Central Command has also shared the bounty announcement on its social media platforms. This initiative follows a previous reward in March, where the Rewards for Justice program offered $10 million for information on 10 key leaders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, designated as a terrorist group by the US government.
This increased reward comes as President Trump is reportedly considering his next steps regarding Iran. Recent reports indicate that Qatari officials have been mediating discussions with Tehran concerning its nuclear activities, with at least three meetings on "concrete proposals" having taken place in Tehran and Doha over the past week. Trump has consistently expressed concerns about Iran's proximity to developing a nuclear weapon and has stated that US airstrikes have significantly degraded Iran's military infrastructure, including naval, missile, drone, and nuclear sites.
