President Trump indicated that further changes are coming to his administration following the Republican Party's midterm election setbacks. In an interview with CBS News's "60 Minutes," taped before the departure of his former chief of staff Susie Wiles, Trump suggested that the shakeups would not be limited to the top White House position.
When asked if he planned to remove any officials from his team after the GOP lost control of the House and Senate majorities, Trump responded, "I do." He further elaborated, "A little bit. I love my Cabinet. I think they’re good, but I’ll be doing maybe a few changes."
Trump declined to name specific individuals who might be affected by these potential changes, stating, "I don’t want to mention who."
The "60 Minutes" interview occurred shortly before the announcement of Wiles's exit, and Trump's comments imply that a broader restructuring of his administration may be underway in response to the election results.
