Tom Holland is poised to earn more than $100 million for his role in the recently released film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," according to reports.

The 30-year-old actor received a base salary of $20 million for his performance, a significant increase from his earnings for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021. When factoring in a backend bonus, Holland's total compensation for the film is expected to exceed nine figures. There is no cap on the backend bonus, meaning his final earnings could be even higher.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has achieved substantial commercial success, grossing over $2.02 billion worldwide since its July 31 release. The film's opening weekend alone brought in $360,091,572 domestically, setting a record for the largest opening weekend ever.

Holland's earnings from the Spider-Man franchise have steadily increased over his tenure. His first appearance as Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War" in 2016 reportedly earned him $250,000. This was followed by $500,000 for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" (2017), $4 million for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" (2019), and $10 million for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021). His initial six-film contract with Sony concluded after "No Way Home."

The actor's latest contract was negotiated by his legal and agent representatives. Industry insiders have likened Holland's financial ascent in the franchise to that of Robert Downey Jr., who saw his salary escalate dramatically during the Iron Man series. Downey earned $500,000 for the first "Iron Man" film in 2008 and reportedly around $50 million for "Iron Man 3" in 2013, including backend proceeds.

Zendaya, Holland's wife and co-star in the film, recently commented on his connection to the character. She told Rotten Tomatoes that Holland "really loves and cares so much about the character and what the character means to other people," noting his ability to connect with fans, particularly children, with grace.
