Leaked TikTok messages have revealed alleged infidelity by Melbourne Demons star Kysaiah Pickett, reportedly leading to the end of his five-year relationship with Ardu Cubillo. Friends of Cubillo say she had a premonition that something was amiss long before the messages exposed Pickett's alleged secret romance with a younger, Sydney-based model. It appears Pickett may have been involved with both women concurrently.
In February, the younger woman reportedly traveled to Hamilton Island and posted videos from the trip on her Instagram account. During the same period, Pickett allegedly told Cubillo, the mother of their one-year-old daughter, that he was on a "boys' trip." Friends stated that Cubillo's suspicions began to grow around this time, despite Pickett's assurances that the other woman was merely a "friend."
The relationship reportedly fractured in March when the younger woman contacted Cubillo via TikTok. The model allegedly informed Cubillo that Pickett had repeatedly expressed his love for her and his desire to reunite once his current relationship was resolved. The model stated, "He's constantly told me he's in love with me and wants to get back together once he sorts out his relationship." She also claimed Pickett told her that Cubillo was not together with him when they met on Hamilton Island.
The model, who has connections to Pickett's family through social media and hails from a prominent Indigenous sporting family herself, also claimed Pickett sent her Valentine's Day flowers and a card to her Sydney home after her return from Hamilton Island. She stated their initial relationship dated back to 2021 and that Pickett had continued to pursue her since then.
In response, Cubillo shared a photo on TikTok of flowers she had also received on Valentine's Day, writing "her and I both. His working overtime fr [for real]." The model allegedly told Cubillo, "We've both been fed lies for years and I'm over it," prompting Cubillo to request full disclosure.
The model then claimed she had repeatedly asked Pickett to stop contacting her, stating he had been "locked on TikTok because of it" and that she had informed him he was lying "the whole time" the previous week. Friends described Cubillo as devastated by the revelation that the woman Pickett had described as a "close friend" was allegedly much more.
According to sources close to Cubillo, she confronted Pickett about the other woman while they were shopping. Pickett allegedly responded by calling the model "a liar." Friends reported that Cubillo immediately left with her daughter, packed their belongings, and flew to Darwin.
Cubillo and her daughter are now reportedly living in Darwin, supported by family and friends as they begin to rebuild their lives. Pickett has reportedly visited Darwin on multiple occasions to see their daughter, with his father assisting in establishing a co-parenting arrangement.
Cubillo has shared messages and social media posts detailing the ordeal, which she described as "the most inhumane experience of my life." These posts suggested she believed Pickett's alleged involvement with the model spanned a significant portion, if not all, of their five-year relationship, with one post stating, "5 years of my life completely stolen from me."
