Tess Daly, 57, is reportedly exploring a move into radio, potentially following in the footsteps of her ex-husband Vernon Kay. This comes after Daly stepped down from her role as co-host of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing at the conclusion of the 2025 series, a show she hosted for over two decades.

Daly and Kay announced their separation in May after 23 years of marriage. Reports suggest Daly is in discussions to host her own program on Magic Radio. If this move materializes, she could be on air concurrently with Kay, who hosts a mid-morning show on BBC Radio 2.

A source cited in reports indicated that Daly's appeal to a broad audience and her established voice make her a desirable candidate for a prime slot at the radio station. Daly's representatives have not yet commented on the reports.

The joint statement released by Daly and Kay in May described their separation as amicable, stemming from a mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both individuals. They emphasized their commitment to remaining supportive parents to their two daughters and stated there were no other parties involved. The couple, reportedly worth approximately £10 million, were last seen together publicly in February.

Sources suggest that the financial and asset division following their split is likely to be straightforward. Both Daly and Kay have secured significant salaries in their respective broadcasting careers, with Kay reportedly earning around £395,000 annually from his BBC Radio 2 role and Daly having earned an estimated £400,000 a year for her work on Strictly Come Dancing. Daly also supplements her income through endorsements and her swimwear brand.

Their assets include a five-bedroom home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, valued at an estimated £3 million, which they purchased 22 years ago. Despite their separation, Daly and Kay are reported to still be residing in the same property and remain on good terms, having expressed a mutual desire for each other's future well-being.
