A 74-year-old man, who has been undergoing tests since his release from University Hospital Wales, has commended two teenage boys for their assistance after he collapsed.
The man, identified as Peacey from Church Village, Rhondda Cynon Taf, described the teens as "brilliant," expressing his gratitude in a BBC Radio Wales Breakfast interview. The incident occurred after Cardiff's Tafwyl festival.
One of the teenagers, Josh, recounted seeing Peacey collapse and immediately went to his aid. He used his jacket to support the man's head and placed him in the recovery position. Meanwhile, his companion, Taylor, sought further help. Although they did not find a medical professional, a festival security guard was alerted and called for emergency services.
"It would be just wrong if I'd left him there," Josh told the BBC, reflecting on the situation. "It feels wrong to see someone injured or need support and not have it."
