A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing at Brent Council's headquarters in northwest London. The victim, believed to be 17 years old, was found with critical injuries at the Brent Civic Centre on Wednesday.

Police were called to the scene and the area was cordoned off as investigations began. Emergency services attended, but the victim was pronounced dead at the location.

Local residents expressed mixed reactions to the incident. One man, who works in the area, described the stabbing as "normal," adding that "these things happen every single day here, in London and in the area." He stated that such incidents do not come as a surprise given what is often reported in the news.

However, a woman living nearby called the stabbing a "shock," noting that she had "never felt unsafe" in the area and found it "concerning." Another resident, Demi, described feeling "uneasy" and said the event was "a bit out of the ordinary" for the neighborhood, which he characterized as not typically unsafe.

Kate, another local, said the area usually feels safe due to visible security patrols and the constant presence of people. "Stabbings are terrible tragedies, but it could happen anywhere," she commented, adding that she still feels secure due to the local security measures and wished such safety was universal. She acknowledged that other parts of London face such issues daily.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the stabbing or the relationship between the victim and the arrested teenager. The investigation is ongoing.
