Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce have invited the New York Knicks' starting five to their upcoming wedding festivities in New York. The invitation extends to players Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns, according to a source.
Swift has recently shown support for the Knicks, attending games at Madison Square Garden. Her presence at a game last month led to a trend of wearing Knicks-themed t-shirts among her and her friends, including actresss Mariska Hargitay. Swift has stated she was a "huge fan" of the team and wanted to support them.
During a recent event, Swift mentioned her raspy voice was a result of "screaming for 100%" of the Knicks game. She humorously noted, "And then I got home and was like, ‘I gotta stop screaming.’"
The wedding celebration is expected to be a multiday event and will host over 1,000 guests. Other notable attendees reportedly invited include Selena Gomez, Mariska Hargitay, Gigi Hadid, and Sukie Waterhouse, as well as several of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates. It remains unclear if the Knicks players have accepted the invitation.
The celebration is scheduled to begin on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
