Taylor Frankie Paul is set to return for the sixth season of the Hulu reality series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" (SLOMW), with the support of ABC and Disney. This comes after Paul's season of "The Bachelorette" was canceled in March due to domestic abuse allegations.
An insider confirmed to Page Six that ABC has maintained "total faith" in Paul and that there has been "a very open line of communication throughout this process." Another source indicated that Paul has been "working on herself" and "dealing with personal issues" since her 2023 arrest for domestic violence.
In March, a video surfaced allegedly showing Paul throwing metal stools in front of her daughter, Indy, during an incident with her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. Following the incident, Paul temporarily lost custody of their son, Ever. This event led to the cancellation of her "Bachelorette" season, where she was slated to make her debut.
Season 5 of "SLOMW" was also temporarily paused but is now scheduled to premiere on September 10, with Paul featured in the trailer. Paul had previously hinted at her return for Season 6 in July, responding affirmatively to a fan's question on social media. Network sources reportedly informed her of her invitation back to the show on a Tuesday.
Paul, who shares Ever with Mortensen and two older children, Indy and Ocean, with ex Tate Paul, has been involved in multiple custody disputes. In July, she reportedly declined custody proposals offering her only 40 percent of child custody, with sources stating she intends to continue fighting for her children.
Last month, Paul announced she had completed her three-year probation following her 2023 arrest. She shared on Instagram that her probation was "one of the longest probations" her probation officers had seen for a first-time offense and noted that she was not aware of what domestic violence was at the time. Describing her experience as "hell on earth," she stated she doesn't care how others perceive her, whether as a "villain or victim."
A source close to Paul revealed that she has been attending therapy and is "doing the best she can in the midst of all the hardships she's going through." This source also stated that Paul has felt unsupported by her "SLOMW" castmates, with "a lot of hurt" remaining within the group. Despite these challenges, she has received support from family, friends, and the producers of the show.
