Actress Sydney Sweeney has ignited fan speculation with the launch of her new lingerie line, SYRN, which features a pair of underwear bearing the phrase "but daddy I love him." This slogan was notably popularized by Taylor Swift in her 2024 song of the same name, leading many to believe Sweeney is referencing Swift and her boyfriend Scooter Braun's long-standing feud.

Sweeney debuted the "panty packs with some of my lil sayings hehehe" on an Instagram Story, drawing immediate attention from fans on social media platform X. One user commented, "Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling: 'but daddy I love him.' And then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl."

The feud between Swift and Braun dates back to 2019 when Braun purchased the master recordings of Swift's first six studio albums. Swift alleged that she had attempted to buy her masters from her former label, Big Machine Records, but was offered unfavorable terms. Braun later sold the masters to Shamrock Holdings in 2020, with a stipulation that he would continue to profit from them.

In response to losing control of her master recordings, Swift began re-recording her albums under the "Taylor's Version" moniker, encouraging fans to support these new versions. In May 2025, Swift announced she had reached a deal with Shamrock Holdings to buy back her master recordings, describing the agreement as fair and a "greatest dream come true."

Sweeney and Braun's relationship reportedly began in June 2025, following Sweeney's ended engagement in March 2025. Sources told Page Six that Braun was "obsessed" with Sweeney after their initial meeting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding functions in Venice. The couple has since kept a relatively low profile, though they have become more public recently.

Sweeney recently spoke about navigating her public love life in an interview with Cosmopolitan, stating, "I was in a relationship for a very long time, for seven and a half years, and I never talked about it... I think it's important to have some things for myself. I understand that I'm a public person, but I'm still in my 20s."
