Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting that occurred last week inside a Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield, California, which left a pregnant woman dead and six others injured. The Fairfield Police Department announced the arrest on Monday.

The gunfire erupted at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday inside the seasonal retailer located at the Solano Town Center. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect or specified the charges they may face.

The victim, identified as 31-year-old Constance Hages, was reportedly pregnant at the time of the incident. Six other individuals sustained injuries, including a 19-year-old man who remained in critical condition as of Sunday. Three additional victims were hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted incident rather than a random act of violence. However, the motive behind the gunfire and the relationship between the suspect and the victims have not been disclosed by police.
