Heather Marie Day, 39, and her husband Seth Michael Day, 39, who gained popularity online for their Christian teachings on marriage and family, have been arrested following allegations of child abuse.
Police discovered a 'sick clue' that led to their arrest, according to reports. The couple, known for their polished image and Christian internet presence, are facing serious charges that have dismantled their public persona.
Heather faces charges of injury to a child, stemming from allegations that she was aware of the abuse and concealed it. Seth is charged with injury and sexual assault of a child. He is accused of striking a teenage girl in the face with a phone and allegedly sexually assaulting her. The alleged abuse is said to have occurred at the family's previous home in Midland, Texas.
Before relocating their family to Texas in 2024, the Days were prominent figures at Andrews University, where both taught in the communications department. Seth is also an assistant professor of psychology at Southwestern Adventist University, where he has been placed on administrative leave following the allegations.
Heather was described as a rising star among Christian influencers, with tens of thousands of followers. She had been promoting her new book, "What If I'm Wrong?" The couple, both 39, were arrested on September 24. The allegations have reportedly left friends and associates 'gobsmacked.'
