NFL legend Rob Gronkowski made an unexpected appearance at polling stations in New Hampshire on Tuesday, aiming to encourage Americans to participate in the midterm elections. Gronkowski, a three-time Super Bowl winner, greeted voters at Bedford High School, signing memorabilia and taking photos.

He was joined by his girlfriend, Camille Kostek, and his presence drew attention amid several competitive races in the state, including a closely watched U.S. Senate contest. Gronkowski stated that his goal was simply to urge people to cast their ballots, regardless of their political affiliation. "You know, it doesn't matter what side you're voting for, it just matters that you're coming out and voting," he told Boston 25 News.

Other athletes were also present in New Hampshire to encourage voting. Former Patriots teammate Danny Amendola was seen at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, and boxing icon Floyd Mayweather was spotted at Alvirne High School in Hudson.

Gronkowski, who resides in Florida and is a registered Republican, was observed near a Turning Point USA tent. However, the organization clarified to CBS News that he was not attending with them but interacted with members as he passed by.

Police reported heavy traffic in the area around the polling station and issued a statement confirming Gronkowski had departed. "If you plan on voting today or are traveling in the area, please give yourself extra time," the statement read. "Rob Gronkowski is no longer at the High School. He is not expected to return."

Gronkowski previously discussed the presence of political conversations in NFL locker rooms during his career, which spanned from 2010 to 2021. In an interview with Fox News Digital, he noted that while awareness grew, it did not significantly disrupt team unity. "It's not political in the locker room. We're all together as one, and that's what it's all about," he said. "It was to win games and it was to be the best football team."
