RJ Mitte, an actor best known for his portrayal of Walter White Jr. in the acclaimed series ‘Breaking Bad,’ has died at the age of 34. A county official confirmed to TMZ that Mitte died in Texas on Monday, October 12, and that a death investigation is ongoing.

Mitte made his final public appearance on October 2, speaking with the inspirational podcast Stauros Entertainment about his role in the new film “Talking to Strangers.” In the movie, he played a character with cerebral palsy who becomes involved in a love affair. Mitte himself had cerebral palsy and advocated for disability rights.

He spoke positively about “Talking to Strangers,” noting that it was “pushing social norms” and “stepping out of the realm of comfort.” He also expressed appreciation for the film’s cast and director.

Mitte was also photographed on September 30 at a screening of “Talking to Strangers” held at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills, California. This event occurred just days before his death.

Throughout his career, Mitte was a vocal advocate for people with disabilities. He served as a celebrity ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children’s, and was a spokesperson for actors with disabilities for the Screen Actors Guild.

While his role in ‘Breaking Bad’ brought him widespread recognition, Mitte also appeared in other television shows and films, including “Switched at Birth,” “The Guardians of Justice,” and “Now Apocalypse.”
