Rick Harrison, the star of the reality television show "Pawn Stars," has undergone emergency bypass surgery after a planned, simpler medical procedure took an unforeseen turn. A spokesperson for the Harrison family confirmed that doctors discovered the need for the surgery during the initial procedure.
"He went in for a simpler procedure, and they found he needed a bypass," the spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "He is resting comfortably and looking forward to a full recovery."
The family representative added that Harrison is grateful for the care he received from the hospital's doctors and staff and appreciates having his wife and family by his side during his recovery.
In recent months, Harrison, 60, had spoken about his happiness, particularly after marrying Agripina "Angie" Polushkin, 42, in January. He credited her support during challenging times, including the death of his son Adam in January 2024 from a fentanyl overdose and the passing of his mother, Joanne Harrison, in November 2025.
Harrison previously described finding love later in life and emphasized the importance of happiness. "It's all about being happy," he said. "It really is. I mean, life is absolutely amazing if you want to make it amazing. It's a wonderful, amazing world out there."
