Lexi Minetree, who portrays a younger Elle Woods in the upcoming "Legally Blonde" prequel series, recently donned a 2014 Stella McCartney gown loaned to her by Reese Witherspoon for the show's London premiere.

This marks the second time Minetree has borrowed from Witherspoon's personal wardrobe for the promotional tour. Earlier in the week, she wore a Marc Jacobs dress that Witherspoon originally wore to the 2014 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme for the 2014 event was Charles James: Beyond Fashion.

The new series, titled "Elle," which is set to release on Prime Video on July 1, follows a teenage Elle Woods as she navigates high school, fashion, and personal challenges. Minetree was handpicked by Witherspoon to play the iconic character.

Witherspoon has expressed her gratification in seeing Minetree step into the role. "Twenty-five years after the world met Elle Woods for the first time, it's a dream come true to share the story of how she became the unstoppable force we all fell in love with," Witherspoon stated. "Discovering Lexi Minetree and watching her step into Elle’s fabulous shoes has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my career."

Minetree, 25, also appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," where she discussed her preparation for the role. She revealed that she watched the original "Legally Blonde" film approximately 150 times. For her audition, she recreated Elle Woods' famous Harvard admissions video, complete with a sparkly bikini and hot tub.

Minetree, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, shared that she has frequently been told she resembles Witherspoon. "It's actually spooky because even when I was a brunette, random people would come to me and say, 'You know who you look like? You look like Reese Witherspoon.' I was like, thank you very much. That is a huge compliment," she said.

Witherspoon's own production company, Hello Sunshine, is behind the new series. She expressed her excitement for the show's themes of kindness, authenticity, and self-belief, which she anticipates will resonate with both fans of the original films and new viewers.

The series has already been renewed for a second season, with filming expected to begin soon. "I can’t wait to share Season One with the world and start rolling cameras on Season Two!" Witherspoon added.

The new series bows on Prime Video on July 1 and follows a teenage Elle Woods as she navigates Beverly Hills High School, fashion choices and challenges
