Yazmin Oukhellou was observed publicly for the first time on Wednesday since law enforcement conducted a raid on her residence in connection with a knife attack that occurred earlier this month at a Mayfair nightclub. The 32-year-old former star of the reality show TOWIE was seen at Stansted Airport preparing to board a flight, accompanied by her designer luggage. She was attired in a taupe jumpsuit and matching fluffy slippers, complementing her Hermes Birkin handbag.
On August 12, Lucci Guthrie, aged 28, was charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident involving Rhys Copas, who is the new partner of Guthrie’s ex-girlfriend. Guthrie was apprehended at Oukhellou's flat during an armed police operation hours after the altercation at the Mistress of Mayfair nightclub in the early morning. Mr. Copas sustained an 8cm slash to his neck, which exposed his voice box and caused nerve damage, necessitating emergency surgery. He suffered significant blood loss, his jugular vein was severed, and nerves were damaged, though he is reported to be in stable condition.
The incident occurred at the upmarket nightclub, known for its high-priced beverages, during a birthday celebration for Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey. The celebration was interrupted when police arrived to shut down the venue. Bailey's 20 guests, including teammate Lamare Bogarde, departed the premises following the attack, which reportedly took place near the dancefloor.
Sources described the event as chaotic, with attendees unsure of the nature of the incident. The footballers present were reportedly shaken by the experience. Guests were reportedly in the midst of their meals when the attack transpired shortly after midnight. Police were called to the scene at 12:22 a.m. and transported a man in his 30s to the hospital with what was described as a potentially life-changing stab wound to his neck.
Following the identification of a suspect, Metropolitan Police officers, supported by local Hertfordshire police, raided Oukhellou's home in Hertford. Oukhellou was reportedly present at the residence during the raid. A male suspect was observed being escorted from the building by officers, including one armed individual. Police remained at the property for over an hour. A woman, believed to be Oukhellou's mother, inquired if Oukhellou would be arrested, to which police responded she was not a suspect and was not arrested in the raid.
Oukhellou, who joined TOWIE in 2017, became a prominent cast member due to her relationship with James Lock. She departed the show in 2023 to focus on her recovery following a severe car accident in Turkey that resulted in the death of her boyfriend, Jake McLean. Oukhellou has since focused on her career as an influencer and beauty salon owner. Earlier this year, she shared updates on her recovery after undergoing facial surgery and liposuction.
