The Las Vegas Raiders have signed veteran defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi to strengthen their defensive line, the team announced Saturday. The move comes after linebacker Brennan Jackson was placed on the injured/reserve list with a foot injury sustained during the team's preseason opener on Thursday.

Fatukasi, an eight-year NFL veteran, spent the past two seasons with the Houston Texans, where he was a starter in 12 of his 15 appearances. In the 2024 season, he started all 11 games he played, recording 24 combined tackles, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, and one sack. His 2025 campaign was shortened due to injury, limiting him to four games with one start.

The Raiders typically operate with a base 3-4 defense, which features a single defensive tackle. With Fatukasi's addition, he is expected to compete immediately for playing time alongside current defensive tackles Adam Butler and Benito Jones.

Fatukasi entered the league as a sixth-round pick by the New York Jets in the 2018 NFL Draft. He played his first four seasons with the Jets, starting 15 games in 2021. He then moved to the Jacksonville Jaguars for two seasons before being released in March 2024.

Over his NFL career, Fatukasi has played in 90 games, starting 60. He has accumulated 195 tackles, 7.0 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, 24 quarterback hits, seven passes defended, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He has experience playing defensive end, defensive tackle, and nose tackle. The signing provides depth as the Raiders prepare for their second preseason game of the 2026 season under first-year head coach Klint Kubiak.
