Prince Harry intends to visit Britain every few months over the next year, a plan reportedly spurred by a recent reunion with his father, King Charles. Sources close to the Duke of Sussex describe him as "buoyed," "very happy," and "really energised" following the meeting.
Harry is scheduled to return to the UK in September for approximately one week to attend engagements for the Invictus Games and WellChild, a charity supporting seriously ill children. The Invictus Games will be held in Birmingham next summer, and the Duke is determined to make the event a success. It is also understood that Harry hopes King Charles will attend the multi-sport event. Whether his wife, Meghan, or their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will accompany him on the September visit has not yet been decided.
During their July visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted Harry, Meghan, and their children at Highgrove, their estate in Gloucestershire. This marked the first in-person meeting between the King and his youngest grandchildren since 2022. Following the visit, Meghan shared a photograph of Harry and their children carrying flowers, believed to be intended for Diana's grave.
Sources indicate that Harry wishes to spend more time in the UK to see his father and extended family more often. He also aims to provide greater support to his UK-based charities. "The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase," a source told The Times. "He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family."
It remains unclear if King Charles and Prince Harry will meet during the September visit, as the King is expected to be on his summer break at Balmoral in Scotland. Discussions about whether Harry will stay at Buckingham Palace during his visits have also not been finalized.
In addition to his commitments in the UK, Harry is reportedly hoping to return to Ukraine in the coming months, having visited the country twice previously. Harry and Meghan relocated to California in 2020 after stepping down as senior royals and have expressed a desire to connect their children with their British heritage.
