Ipswich, managed by Gary O'Neil, significantly bolstered their squad with 14 senior signings, including record transfers for Brazilian forward Emersonn and later Julio Enciso. Tottenham Hotspur was also a major player, spending £334 million on players such as Mateus Fernandes, Savio, Omar Marmoush, and Sandro Tonali. The club recouped £158 million through sales, including Cristian Romero to Atletico Madrid and Luka Vuskovic to Brighton. Despite this, their net spend placed them high on the list.

Manchester City had the largest overall expenditure, splashing out £440.3 million. This included major midfield signings like Enzo Fernandez for a club-record £125 million from Chelsea, Elliot Anderson, and Ayyoub Bouaddi. Although City generated £314.9 million from player sales, including Savio to Tottenham, Rodri to Barcelona, and Nico Gonzalez to Newcastle, their net spend ranked sixth.

Chelsea, despite spending £342.4 million, achieved the lowest net spend at -£67.3 million by generating the most revenue from player sales, totaling £409.7 million. Key departures included Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City, Nicolas Jackson to Aston Villa, Marc Cucurella to Real Madrid, and Andrey Santos to Manchester United. Chelsea's record signing was Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million.

Crystal Palace emerged as the lowest spenders, with a total outlay of just £51 million, despite acquiring ten players. Their strategy involved loan signings and free transfers.
