A pole dancing practice session took an unexpected turn when a Houston resident's equipment detached from the ceiling, triggering a sprinkler system and flooding her apartment. The incident was captured on video.
Asha Gilbert was practicing her routine when the pole came loose from its ceiling mount. The dislodged pole struck an overhead fire sprinkler, which immediately activated, sending water cascading through the room, drenching Gilbert and her dog.
"I went into shock and was completely stunned," Gilbert told Storyful. "My main concern was for my dog."
Gilbert and her dog were able to exit the apartment as firefighters arrived to address the situation with the gushing sprinkler. The event, described by the New York Post as a moment where she "made it rain," has circulated widely on social media.
