Former professional dancer Ola Jordan has shared a series of pointed social media posts hinting at difficulties within her 22-year marriage, shortly after announcing her separation from husband James Jordan.

On Wednesday evening, Jordan reposted several messages on her Instagram stories concerning infidelity and unfaithful men to her 341,000 followers. One shared clip questioned, "why cheat when you can just leave?" Another post read, "No one will do you dirtier than a man who swears he hates cheaters, judges other men for being unfaithful, and preaches about loyalty, just to turn around and cheat on you himself."

These posts follow the couple's joint statement in August confirming their decision to end their marriage after a trial separation. At the time, they stated their primary focus was co-parenting their six-year-old daughter, Ella.

James Jordan, 48, who also previously appeared as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, cited mental health struggles as a reason for his difficulties. He shared that he had "been struggling more than I’ve let people see" and was taking time to focus on his well-being for himself and their daughter.

Ola and James Jordan, who began dating in 1999 and married in 2003, met as dance partners in Blackpool before their relationship evolved into romance. They both gained fame as professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing, with James joining in series four in 2006 and Ola following shortly after. James departed the show in 2013, and Ola left in 2015.

Their joint statement in August detailed the "incredibly painful and emotional journey" of their separation. "At the moment we’re taking some time apart as we work through very difficult personal challenges," the statement read. "(James) moved out of the family home some time ago. This has been an incredibly painful and emotional journey for us both and it certainly wasn’t an easy decision."

The couple welcomed their daughter Ella in February 2020 via IVF after a three-year fertility battle. James is reportedly now living in a flat in Kent, having moved out of their five-bedroom country home.

Prior to her recent social media activity, Ola Jordan had shared videos of their daughter Ella helping with yard work at their marital home. The couple concluded their joint statement by expressing uncertainty about the future and a commitment to taking things "one day at a time" for the best interests of themselves and Ella. They also conveyed gratitude for the support they have received over the years.
