New York City will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks with a ceremony at Ground Zero. The event will be attended by survivors, family members of victims, and Vice President JD Vance.

The ceremony will observe seven moments of silence. The first is scheduled for 8:46 a.m., marking the time hijacked Flight 11 struck the North Tower. Family members will read the names of those who died in the 2001 and 1993 World Trade Center attacks.

For the first time, a seventh moment of silence will be dedicated to individuals who have died from illnesses and injuries related to the 9/11 attacks.
