Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith has broken her silence on accusations of a cheating scandal made by her ex-girlfriend, Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington. Smith addressed the allegations during a Twitch livestream, questioning why Carrington chose to publicize their private matters over a year after their breakup.

Carrington initially made the claims on Threads, alleging that Smith had been unfaithful with multiple players, including Las Vegas Aces teammate Deja Kelly and Atlanta Dream guard Aaliyah Nye.

"Whether she cheated on me and I cheated on her, why are we bringing that to the internet a year later when nobody did anything to anybody?" Smith stated on her livestream. "Like what? That don't even make sense. And to bring it to the internet a year later, is crazy. Just for fun? That's ridiculous, especially when you're in a happy, healthy relationship."

Smith also expressed frustration that Kelly and Nye were drawn into the public dispute. "Then, to bring up folks name that has nothing to do with anything. These folks is minding their business. These folks woke up to this s**t on a random Sunday night of these type of allegations," she said. "I think that's very weird."

Recounting an in-person confrontation that preceded Carrington's social media posts, Smith claimed Carrington initiated an argument that required security intervention. Smith described herself as the victim in the situation.

Smith also refuted claims that she uninvitedly showed up at a location to monitor Carrington. "I didn't do 'none.' I'm sitting on the couch posting, minding my business. I didn't do nothing to nobody," Smith asserted. "So, the fact that people are trying to create this narrative of 'Lyss came somewhere uninvited and she came here just to spy on folks. Y'all gotta stop all that lying."

Smith suggested that alcohol may have played a role in Carrington's public outburst.

Carrington's Sky are scheduled to host Smith's Aces in Chicago on August 1, marking their first on-court meeting since the public dispute.
