Christine Wonsley, the mother of Nolan Wells, who disappeared on a Fourth of July boating trip and was later found dead, has shared details about her son's phone that she believes indicate messages were deleted. Wells, 18, vanished during a trip to Horn Island, Mississippi.
Speaking on "Good Morning America," Wonsley stated that she and her sister examined Wells' phone after its recovery. She noted that his Snapchat account showed no messages or media, which seemed suspicious because videos and pictures typically remain on the platform for up to 24 hours. "It wasn’t even 24 hours, which is how long videos and pictures stay in Snapchat … even my sister was like, yeah, that’s suspicious," Wonsley said.
Prior to recovering the phone, Wonsley used the Life360 app to track her son's location following his disappearance. The family is seeking "honesty and transparency and a thorough investigation" into Wells' death. "We want that same respect that would be given to anybody else, and that’s it. We just want answers," Wonsley stated.
