Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper filmed intimate scenes for an upcoming "Ocean's Eleven" prequel on Monday in the French Riviera, sharing a passionate kiss on a hotel balcony. The heist reboot is expected to focus on the parents of Danny Ocean, portrayed by Cooper and Robbie, set against the backdrop of the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.
Robbie, 36, adopted a 1960s aesthetic with a French-inspired hairstyle and a white and turquoise halterneck midi-dress. Cooper, 51, wore a white vest top as he leaned in for the kiss. The filming took place in the picturesque town of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
"The whole town has been transformed back to the 1960s," one tourist who witnessed the scene told the Daily Mail. "They are doing a lot of the filming in the south of France."
The cast also includes Monica Barbaro, Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Jack Holden, Lauren Ridloff, Omar Sy, Wagner Moura, and Josh Gad. Robbie has been attached to the project since 2022, with reports at the time suggesting Ryan Gosling would also be involved, though his participation is currently unclear.
Producer Josey McNamara stated that the team is aiming to "do right by the franchise" and is excited for the film's eventual release. The "Ocean's" franchise began in 2001 with a cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, and Matt Damon. Subsequent films include "Ocean's 12," "Ocean's 13," and the 2018 female-led spin-off "Ocean's 8." The original inspiration for the films was the 1960 movie featuring Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin.
