Authorities in California arrested a man carrying a pistol and armor-piercing ammunition near a golf course owned by President Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon. The arrest occurred at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, just ahead of a Republican party fundraising dinner the president was scheduled to attend.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the arrested individual, identified as Jeanine John Taele, 38, was observed "walking throughout the golf course grounds taking photographs and videos and appearing to monitor security-planning activities." He was found with the firearm and ammunition in his vehicle on the golf course property.
The incident prompted an arrest shortly before President Trump's planned fundraising event at the coastal California venue.
