Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden was a hive of activity on Monday as preparations began for an anticipated event: the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Trucks and vendors were observed outside the venue, suggesting a large-scale setup is underway just days before the couple is expected to marry.
Page Six observed multiple vendors, including a lighting company and a piping and draping business, participating in the setup. Unmarked trucks were seen unloading large items covered in tarps, with forklifts moving substantial trunks of inventory. Some workers on site reportedly stated they were unaware of the clients' identities, and certain vendors took measures to obscure their company names and contact information.
This activity follows earlier reports that Swift and Kelce planned to hold their reception at Madison Square Garden, a venue where Swift has performed numerous times. Permits filed with the city’s Street Activity Permit Office indicate requests for street closures around the venue from July 2 to July 4, and the setup of a large public tent. A separate permit for a smaller event on Thursday has been linked to the couple's rehearsal dinner.
New York City official Zohran Mamdani had previously alluded to the event, mentioning it as one of several major happenings in the city during the July 4th weekend, alongside the Knicks’ NBA Finals run and America 250 celebrations.
Sources have indicated that musicians Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are scheduled to perform at the wedding. The couple reportedly hired celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed for the occasion. A list of expected A-list guests includes Adrien Brody, Sombr, Zoë Kravitz, the Haim sisters, and Gigi Hadid. The couple, who began dating two years ago, became engaged in August 2025.
